Michael Falco is a photographer’s photographer. Over the past decade, while gaining a reputation as a sought-after international wedding photographer based in one of New York City’s premier wedding studios, Michael’s draws from his 30 year experience as a photojournalist and editorial photographer. This background and experience makes him an ideal wedding photographer.
Why does this make Michael the ideal wedding photographer? As a photojournalist Michael has the instincts to always be one step ahead - documenting events as they unfold. Being a frequent contributor to the New York Times and international publications like the National Geographic, Michael has honed his skills in capturing the essence of the story candidly - without being intrusive. Secondly, while working for magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, People and W he has learned in any given situation to know where the beautiful light is and how to set up a strong candid scenario where his subjects feel at ease and good photographs are allowed to just happen.
To make these timeless moments happen Michael’s mastery of all things photographic, his confidence in the shoot and the client, opens a door to spontaneous photographs that transcend time. Spontaneity being the luxury of someone who is a master of their trade.
According to his clients, working with Michael is often a magical experience. When Michael photographs your wedding you receive more than a photograph, you receive an experience.
“It’s called the “Big Day” for the bride and groom but it is sometimes an even a bigger day for the parents. Your wedding day is a celebratory culmination of generations, the continuation of a love story that goes back in time. When you work with me know that I have that in mind. That I’m photographing your family, your loved ones, your community and capturing what they’ll be sharing and cherishing for lifetimes to come. I also know that the expression of this fairytale is unique and individual to each couple and family.”
